The award identifies and recognises organization that enhances the geographical character of a place: its environment, heritage, culture, aesthetics, and the well-being of its residents.

Outskirt Outreach is listed in Hati.org, a resource and platform for people and organisations that are involved in community work in Malaysia.
OO is also a member of Survival International, an UK-based organisation supporting tribal peoples worldwide.

Batik Floral Motif
Malaysian countryside artistry is best depicted by batik textile. The name batik stemmed from local word "menitik" or "tik", meaning dots or dotting. Terengganu and Kelantan coastline is where the best batik masters are found. During monsoon season when the sea is too rough for fishing activities, villagers while away time by producing fabulous batik pieces for sale to supplement income.Local Date
