Photography & Filming Flicks
Photography shouldn’t be rocket science.
It’s the “feel” that counts.
While most people fuss about techniques, lighting, high-tech gadgets and death-defying angles, we are more interested in the story behind a scene. We don’t give a hoot about whether the sun is in the right place or if the monkey is sitting right. People who has done adventure and outdoor photography will agree with us – there’s no time for perfection. There’s only milli-second to shoot. One will miss an insightful moment if every bit of photography rule is adhered to. So please, don’t be too uptight with colour, contrast or techniques when eyeing our photos.
We wouldn’t call ourselves professionals but we have been to many hidden places in Malaysia most serious photographers have never dreamed of. Hence, through the years, we have under our belts thousands of rare shots that could easily give anyone a visual feast, many times over.
If you find photos you like in this blog and wish to purchase them for personal or commercial use, ping us. For travel or nature magazine editors, we could even throw in a short photo essay (which tells more than caption) for each photo you buy. Better still, give us an assignment and let us impress you. Your purchase will help us collect fund for our community work. Here are some examples ………

Photography Trip – If you are keen to roam the Malaysian countryside and want an insider account on which and where is the best places for flora, fauna, people, architecture … just about anything that tickle your shooting flavour, discuss with us, at no obligation of course. We can customize a jaunt that will last long in memory.

… and oh, did we tell you we have loads of experience in documentary, travel and movie set location scouting too?
If you’re in the filming industry and need a visual feast to make your project look good, ping us. We know a fistful of places that would wow your audience many times over. Just let us know your storyline approach, script layout or if you’re new to the Malaysian countryside, perhaps we could make some good suggestions.
Here’s an example we of what we did for for 8TV’s Destinasi Bajet (top) TV travel series. With our guidance, the filming crew had the opportunity to go deeper and pry open the Malaysian frontiers.

Sometimes, photography is just half the fun. Being confronted by challenges and unexpected local life are adventures that make an assignment memorable.
One shoots hundreds of frames, fuss about where the sun is coming from and whims for the best location for great angles. But really, in the end, all photographers ever cherish and bring home is the memory of having a great day exploring the boon – and bane – of a particular place or subject.

Lighten up.
Apart from aiming for beauty and creativity, we think serious photographers should take their subjects less seriously. If you are a wildlife specialist, keeping an eye for other interesting – sometimes quirky – stuffs can add more fun to your hobby. Everyone can take photos but the ability to single out extraordinary subjects in an ordinary scene is the hallmark of a prolific photographer.
